Wood Buffalo Housing and SSWB partnered in 2005 to open Centennial House, an 8-plex apartment building owned and operated by WBHDC and a key part of SSWB’s programs. One unit has been renovated into a common area where SSWB hosts programming, events, and activities.
Individuals interested in moving into Centennial House must work with SSWB for at least three months to ensure the program aligns with their goals. They must also complete a WBHDC housing application and receive approval from WBHDC before moving in.
Centennial offers a secure space for healing, supports individuals facing complex challenges, reduces relapse risk, and eases the transition to independent living. It provides safety for those managing trauma, combats isolation, and connects clients to a strong support network and community resources.
